The Beekman Brothers, Braam and John, started their business in 1971. Their first development, at Suntide Beach Club Banana Beach, was affiliated to RCI (UK) and paved the way for them to enter the local leisure industry. It also set the scene for the official launch in 1981 of the Beekman Brothers Group, becoming one of the developers and marketing poineers of the timeshare industry.

The Holiday Club, with its flexible Point System was launched in 1993.
The Holiday Club is recognised as the market leader in the leisure industry in South Africa. The points system delivers flexibility and affordability, giving the member the assurance of quality of accommodation which can be used in accordance with personal needs.

The Beekman Brothers Group not only sucessfully manages The Holiday Club and its resorts throughout Southern Africa, but is also continually developing various properties for both timeshare and residential use.
